In the United States, Alamo rents mostly General Motors automobiles. Alamo was owned by Vanguard Automotive Group, which also owns National Car Rental. As of August 1, 2007 it was bought by Enterprise Car Rental. The rental contract ends on the day the vehicle is returned.
